Tantra Immersion School

Non-Dual Liberation Community based in Classical Tantric Yoga

What is Tantra?

The 1000+ year old non-dual Tantra tradition offers us the gifts of expansion, acceptance, joy and liberation. With Tantric practices, spiritual philosophy, and integrated community (sangha), we welcome you into this sacred way of being in relationship with life: Tantra.

Tantra means finding the Sacred through the mundane.

The Tantra Immersion School is a holistically oriented community which invites us to create the conditions to reveal our true nature.

You’ve felt that gnawing that says there’s more than the material world, more than we’ve been conditioned to believe and pursue. Or perhaps you’ve been on a spiritual path for a while but haven’t yet deepened into your own embodied faith, embodied knowing. Come find the limitless possibility that an embodied and integrated spiritual path can offer.

The teachings of Tantra give us specific practices, techniques and understandings of how to find the deep questions and answers from within, and how to orient ourselves toward a more fulfilling life. Our courses, retreats and weekly spiritual gatherings offer fundamental spiritual topics through both theory and practice. This includes tantric yoga, meditation and esoteric knowledge of the intimate inner workings of body, energy, emotions, mind and Heart. And above all, we orient to the Revelation of who we really are, our Self.

Cultural Honoring and Colonization Acknowledgment

Tantra Yoga is a tradition that comes from the Indian subcontinent and is at least 1000 years old, with roots 3000+ years old. While the teachings we offer are as close to traditional as possible, there have been many interpretations of these teachings throughout the years which have often leaned more toward appropriating than honoring Tantra. There has also been a capitalistic and patriarchal tint to the teachings which underlies how they have been translated and handed down.

As a committed anti-racist and anti-oppression organization, we are doing our work to sift through what’s been handed down in the Tantra lineages and find the deepest basis of “Truth” we can access. This path is what Tantra Immersion offers: a path that both honors the traditional teachings, while being aware of the oppressive ways they have been inaccessible beyond white- or privileged-bodies for the last 100+ years.

We are always open to questions and critique about our interpretations and are actively working to update these teachings to be more aware of oppressive narratives, underlying patriarchal interpretations, and societal bias. This is a work in progress and will be for a long time to come. Your participation helps to keep shaping the teachings for the 21st century and beyond.

At Tantra Immersion, which is based in so-called Washington State in the Pacific Northwest of the US, we acknowledge that racism and its real-world impacts effect each of us living in colonized culture. Our courses and spiritual practices include examining these impacts in our inner world and our outer actions.

Undoing oppression and white supremacy culture is a priority in our organization. We acknowledge that spiritual teachings throughout the last century have continued to provide more access for white, educated, financially affluent people.

We are committed to providing accessibility to receiving quality, holistic spiritual teachings for People of the Global Majority, BIPOC and People of Color through our donation-based weekly community gatherings and scholarships toward our online teachings, which are offered at significantly less than other meditation retreats in the US.
